IIts obvious that a dog needs regular exercise and while some reasons for this is pretty clear the other less obvious reasons require us to consider. Its obvious that regular exercise will keep your dog in good shape and stop your dog becoming lazy and obese “Yes dogs can suffer from obesity too”. Regular exercise will also give your dog a stronger heart, increase his energy levels and give him her a chance of a longer life with you.
The other less obvious reason to provide regular exercise for your dog is that exercising your dog regularly will help deal with behavioural problems because dogs are social animals that communicate with each other and regular contact with other dogs and people will help a dog behave appropriately when it comes into contact with people.
In the wild they would live in packs and in these these packs they socialise and have friends so allowing a dog to have contact with other dogs will give it social interaction. But really at the end of the day an exercised dog is a tired dog and a tired dog is a contented dog.
